The following statements do not supersede Grace Pointe Church’s Statement of Faith, but serve to elaborate on matters important to our cultural and ministry context.

Statement on Biblical Inerrancy and Interpretation

Purpose of this statement:
The authority of Scripture is a key issue for the Christian Church in this and every age. Those who profess faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour are called to show the reality of their discipleship by humbly and faithfully obeying God’s written Word. To stray from Scripture in faith or conduct is disloyalty to our Master. Recognition of the total truth and trustworthiness of Holy Scripture is essential to a full grasp and adequate confession of its authority.

Statement on Sexuality and Marriage

Purpose of this statement:
As the culture around us moves away from more-biblically centered ideas concerning sexuality and marriage, it is importance that the church not move in the same direction. This statement is dedicated to helping the church maintain a biblical view of these matters, that we may communicate the truth to the culture around us.

Statement on Ethnic Harmony

Purpose of this statement:
Matters concerning ethnicity are particularly important to American culture and it is important for the church to have a firm understanding of the Bible’s anthropological teachings, that we may communicate the truth to our community and the world.
