Melanie Chandler

Children's Ministry Director

My faith journey:

I was born in Mishawaka, Indiana but spent most of my life in Osceola country. I had the privilege of growing up in a Christian home and my dad was a pastor for over thirty years. I trusted Christ when I was four-year-old. As a result, I am passionate about children coming to Jesus at a young age. I attended Heritage Christian School in Kissimmee throughout my school years and graduated high school from Heritage in 2002. I went to college at at Palm Beach Atlantic University and graduated with my bachelor’s degree in 2004 and an MBA in 2006. I married Mike Chandler the same semester I graduated. The Lord has blessed us with five children: Caleb, Cadence, Logan, Timmy, and Daisy. Mike is my best friend and my favorite preacher. I felt called to full time ministry at the age of twelve and I have served in children’s ministry ever since in a variety of roles. I have severed in Children’s Director roles at First Baptist Church of Kissimmee (2009-2010), Harmony Community Church (2013-2017) and now here at Grace Pointe since 2022.
