My faith journey:
I was born and raised in Massachusetts. For the most part, I grew up in a broken neighborhood—what most refer to as the projects or the hood. My parents raised us in the Catholic faith. As I grew, I left the Catholic Church to meddle in the occult. Then in 2001, I attempted to commit suicide, but by the grace of God I was stopped. On Resurrection Sunday, April 15, 2001 my life changed forever when I asked Jesus to be my savior. Soon after becoming a Christian I was deployed to fight for my country. While deployed, I witnessed many horrific events which would again alter my way of thinking. While deployed, I became noncombatant and chose to spend my deployment without a firearm. Doing this enabled me to be able to witness to the locals. After my time in the military, I went back to being a chef. I graduated from college with an Associates in Culinary Arts. After such, I was employed at Lakeside Christian Camp and Conference Center where I met and married my better half. While serving alongside my wife, God called me to go to seminary so I could study His Word. So, I signed up to be a student at the College at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, North Carolina. After graduating, I obtained a job as the Director of Food Service at a christian camp in Georgia. Later, God taught me that food service was no longer the path He wanted me to follow. It was then that God showed me how to serve the heroes whom endured the battles of war. I’m now currently working as a Medical Professional in the Nursing department for Sterile Processing at the Lake Nona VA Medical Center.
